In 2015, Natco started to produce Sofosbuvir, a drug used to treat chronic hepatitis C, an analog of Sovvali, produced by the American company Gilead, under its own brand. In May 2017, an Indian company issued a cure for blood cancer at a cost of 5,000-20,000 rupees, which is 98% lower than the price in the US.
