Drugs for Cancer
Cancer is a group of diseases that have certain characteristics in common. The most spread type of cancer is a malignant tumor, i.e. a tumor which properties most often (in contrast to the properties of a benign tumor) make it extremely threatening for the life of the organism, which gave grounds to call it "malignant". The malignant tumor consists of malignant cells, i.e. cells that spread uncontrollably, invade adjacent tissues of the body and interfere with their functions. On top of that, cancerous cells are capable of metastasizing, i.e. spreading to distant organs. The disease is associated with a violation of cell proliferation and differentiation due to genetic disorders.
